Casa Chueca has a great vibe and is super close to the Gran Via Metro station. The room was spacious and clean, equipped with a mini-fridge, tea kettle, and even a small table and chairs. There’s a cute little plaza nearby with a Starbucks and some shops, making it convenient for a relaxing coffee break. I faced a couple of issues. The walls are quite thin, and I struggled to sleep due to noise from the next room—definitely something to consider if you’re easily disturbed at night. the main entrance looked a bit unwelcoming due to the graffiti, and climbing three flights of stairs with luggage was a hassle since there’s no lift. Despite these drawbacks, the friendly owner, Mario, was always helpful. He even arranged a taxi for my early morning departure. The room came with good basic amenities, but the street noise can be troublesome, especially on weekends.
